In 2016, Wayne State University embarked on a project to fully document the services provided by their Central IT department. Initially pitched as a foundation for the ITSM processes, leadership quickly saw that this project could prepare them for a move to a responsibility center management budget model. In this session, you’ll hear how they built a service portfolio, the benefits they’ve already realized from it, how it’s changed customer interactions, and how they’re using it as a strategic resource for the future. Participants will be polled throughout the presentation about their own experiences with building a service portfolio.
