To ensure the security of classified and unclassified information, access to the Department of Defense’s networks is governed by multiple regulations, processes, and security controls. Satisfying all these controls is an onerous activity, especially for end users who just want to do their job. Many end users feel that the more secure the environment, the harder it is to get anything done. This session is a case study on how an ITSM integrator partnered with a DoD customer to rapidly mature the access management process and satisfy regulatory and compliance requirements to make it easier for end users to securely gain access, and how continuous service improvement (CSI) has made these goals a reality.
