As organizations look for ways to increase speed-to-market, driven by competitive, economic, and technology disruption it is critical to understand that the term velocity is defined as “Speed with direction”. To expect the various parts of an enterprise value-system to move collectively faster towards the goal without first building organizational alignment is unrealistic. System velocity is only possible if goals are agreed, priorities are shared and practices harmonized across silos.

Join Troy DuMoulin in this motivating and practical session as he shares the Lean Leadership approach to establishing organizational alignment based on shared Principles, Vision and Missions which in turn drive both portfolio and continual improvement decisions in order to establish both vertical as well as horizontal alignment throughout an organization. Topics to be covered include:

    ·      The 3 dimensions of decision making (Principles, Self Interest, External Pressures)

    ·      The principles of systems thinking & constancy of purpose

    ·      How organizations align high level goals to operations

    ·      The Lean practices of Hoshin Kanri for building long and short term alignment
